Thenga Aracha Meen Curry (Fish Curry with coconut grinded)

Ingredients

Mathi(Chala or Sardine)/Ayala – ½ kg
Methi powder – ½ tsp
For grinding
Grated Coconut – ½ part of a coconut
Red chilli powder – 1 ½ tsp
Coriander powder – 1 ½ tsp
Small Onion – 5 nos.
Tamarind pulp – as needed
Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
Salt to taste
 
Method


Grind all of the above for grinding ingredients in a mixer. Pour the fish and the grinded mixture in a munn chatty(deep panned mud pot) and heat it. When fully cooked add the methi powder and ripe sliced tomatoes on top and simmer for some time. When done. Serve with bread, chappatti or rice as you like it.
