Vegetable Cutlets

Ingredients


Sambar Dal – ½ cup
Onion – 1 no
Green chilli – 2 nos.
Potato – 3 medium sized
Bread – 4 slices
Mint and curry leaves for garnishing
Oil – 3 tbsp
Water – as required
Salt to taste


Method


Wash the dal and let it cook in a cooker with some water. Cook the potatoes till they are completely cooked in another cooker with enough water. Peel away the skin of potato when done. Keep them aside. In a pan, heat some oil, add onions and green onions, cook till they turn golden brown. Mix in a bowl, the dal, potatoes, onion & green chill mixture, and mint and curry leaves. Mix them all well together. Make round shaped cutlets out of them. Heat little oil in a flat pan, put the cutlets and cook them till they turn golden on both sides. Take it out of flame and serve with tomato ketchup.
