Ingredients
Sambar Dal – 100gm
Paalak or Spinach Leaves – a bunch
Small Onion – 5 nos.
Coconut grated – 3 tbsp
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
Cumin powder – 1/2 tsp
Garlic – 1 clove
Green chilli – 1 no.
Salt to taste
Method
In a cooker, boil the sambar dal. After it gets cooked, add the paalak
or spinach leaves that were chopped. Also add in the small onions and green
chilli. Let it cook. In a mixer, add grated coconut, turmeric powder, cumin
powder and garlic. Pour the paste into the cook dal and paalak. Let it cook for
a few more minutes. Mix well by mashing and mixing. Add salt. When done, serve
hot.
