Pepper Chicken Curry ( Kurumulaku ettu vacha Kozhi Curry)

Ingredients

Chicken pieces – 500gm
Onion cut into thin pieces -2 nos.
Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
Pepper powder – 1 tsp
Ginger garlic paste – 3 tsp
Salt to taste
Olive Oil – 3 tbsp
Water as per required
Tomatoes – 2 nos.
Sugar – 2 tsp
Curd – 1 cup

Method


Mix the chicken pieces with the red chilli, turmeric, pepper, ginger garlic paste and salt with a little oil and let it refrigerate for 1 hour. Heat oil in a pan, put onion and fry till golden. Put in the chicken pieces and let it cook. If needed add little water to let it cook well. Blend the tomatoes in a blender and pour the liquid into the pan and cook till the gravy reduces and thickens. Add curd and sugar to get the sweet and tangy taste. Let it simmer till the oil separates out. You get a dark chicken curry. Serve hot.
