Onion/Potato/Raw Banana Pakodas

Ingredients

Onion cut into thin round slices – 2 nos.
Potato cut into thin round slices – 2 nos.
Raw Banana cut into thin sices – 1 no.
Besan powder (Kadala mavu) – 1 ½ cup
Plain Four (Maida) – ½ cup
Red chilli powder – ½ tsp
Turmeric powder – pinch
Asafetida powder – 2 pinch
 Water as required
Salt to taste

Method

In a bowl add besan/kadala mavu, plain flour, salt, red chilli, turmeric & asafetida powder and water and mix well. Get a medium thick consistency liquid (paste). Put the onion & potato, raw banana in the batter and see to it that the paste coats the onions raw banana & potatoes slices on all sides. Heat oil in a pan, dip the batter coated slices into it and fry till it turns golden on both sides. When fully done, remove from flame. Serve with tea in the evenings.
